BBC News is the BBC’s flagship 24 Hours rolling news channel bringing you live streaming news on TV. If there is a major event, such as an election or international crisis, the BBC News Channel will be the first to cover it via its live streaming service. Schedule

Each hour there is a 15 minute round up of news headlines supported by reports and interviews that examine the stories in depth. There is a weather report every half hour broadcast live from the BBC Weather centre. The sports headlines are aired every hour, immediately following the news headlines. At times of major events, BBC News links with its network of broadcasters including sister channel BBC World News as well as BBC One

Watch a range of BBC News TV programmes. Some of the more popular include the Travel Show – a weekly series that looks at everything related to the world of travel and Click a series about new developments in computer technology such as smart phones and new games. There are also programmes about business and finance such as Asia Business Roundup, which is simultaneously broadcast by BBC News and BBC World News.

BBC News sometimes known as the BBC News Channel was launched in 1997 as a competitor to Sky News. At first only available to cable subscribers, today the BBC News Channel is more popular than Sky News and has been named as News Channel of the Year.
